Milwaukee County has 18 Municipalities located within the county. Here are a few notes to keep in mind while monitoring agencies in the county.

Milwaukee County Sheriff's F2
This is a talkgroup on the Milwaukee County 800MHz Trunked Radio System that use is used for communications between all municipal police departments and Milwaukee County Sheriff. It can be used for municipality to municipality or municipality to county sheriff. This is also used for multi-jurisdictional events (Pursuits, Etc). Milwaukee Area Coordination (MAC) Channels
This consists of two low band frequencies that are used for area departments to communicate with each other via the radio. These aren’t used very much since the incorporation of “Sheriff’s F2” (See Above), but it is always good to listen to them. The only recent activity has been the City of Milwaukee Housing Authority calling Milwaukee Police Department.

453.3750 / Milwaukee County Emergency Government
This is used by Milwaukee County Emergency Government to contact local municipalities. This has been around since before there was an 800MHz Trunked Radio System. Most of the time, you will hear Severe Weather Bulletins on here. The municipalities in the county are divided up into zones, which are listed below. The county does a test daily at 11:00am with these zones.

Ambulance to Hospital Frequencies
The county has 2 frequencies that are set aside for all BLS (Basic Life Support) ambulances to relay patient information to the hospitals in the county. These are for municipal BLS & private ambulance companies to relay patient information. Also, Milwaukee County Paramedic Base can patch 155.34 to either frequency for ambulances from outside the county transporting to a hospital located in Milwaukee County.

Paramedics in the County
Milwaukee County runs the paramedic units for its municipalities, which are housed in local fire stations. They relay patient information via the Milwaukee County 800MHz Trunked Radio System. They use 463.000 to 463.1750 (Inputs 468.0000 to 468.1750) MED channels for Telemetry Data. Fire stations that house a MED unit can run multiple ambulances as "MED" units providing they have enough paramedic personnel.
